This site is provided to consumers as a public service. It is designed to assist you in locating a mover that can meet your moving requirements. First, you should enter the following information to help us determine the type of move you require - local, intrastate (within your state), interstate (from your state to another state) or international (to a foreign country):

1) Where are you moving?

    Enter the zip code for your current home here and the zip code (or foreign country) for your new home here .
    (When entering your zip code, you may use all 5 digits or just the first three.)

2) How much packing will be performed by the mover?

    Full Packing (The mover will be packing all or almost all of my shipment.)
    Custom Packing (I'll pack my non-breakable articles myself and the mover will be packing the breakable, valuable and fragile articles.)
    No Packing (I'll pack everything myself. Keep in mind that when you pack your own cartons, your mover is usually not responsible for damage to the contents of such cartons unless there is external damage to the carton itself, which, in turn, causes damage to the contents.)

3) How far are you moving?

     Less than 50 miles (local)
     More than 50 miles, but in the same state (intrastate)
     To another state (interstate)
     Out of the country (international)

4) How many (non-bathroom) rooms are in your home?

  • Don't count bathrooms or closets.
  • Be sure to count your garage, any outside storage sheds and basement rooms or workrooms. Count each as 1 (one) additional room.

Mover Referral Service (MRS) participation is a voluntary program open to any AMSA member or agent of a van line member. Participants pay a small yearly fee which is used to cover operating costs.
